Ground Truth Guides is a brand operated by Vitali B., an individual (“I”, “me”, or “my”).
These Terms apply to the purchase, download, access, and use of digital guides and related content offered under the Ground Truth Guides brand through GroundTruthGuides.com and its Gumroad product listings.
Purchases are processed through Gumroad. For eligible sales, Gumroad acts as the merchant of record and manages applicable transaction, payment, and refund processes under its own terms. These Terms govern the use of my guides and content to the extent applicable, alongside Gumroad’s applicable terms and policies.
1. Eligibility
My products are intended for adults aged 18 or older. By purchasing a guide, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.
2. Personal-Use License
Upon successful purchase, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, view, and print the purchased guide for your own individual, non-commercial use. You may share the guide with the people you travel with, and with members of your household, for their personal use.
Except as described above, or as permitted by applicable law or with my prior written consent, you may not reproduce, redistribute, publish, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the guide or any substantial portion of its content. In particular, you may not post, upload, or publish the guide on any online platform, including but not limited to websites, social media, forums, messaging groups, or file-sharing services, and you may not forward it to anyone outside your travel party.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Purchasing a guide does not transfer ownership of its copyright or other intellectual property rights.
3. Information Only; No Professional Advice
The guides are provided for general informational and educational purposes. They are based primarily on my personal experiences and observations, supplemented by independent research where appropriate.
The guides may discuss travel preparation, personal safety, living expenses, Vietnamese e-visas, immigration procedures, visa runs, long-term accommodation, financial products, U.S. telephone numbers, mail management, domicile, and personal-property storage.
The guides do not constitute individualized legal, immigration, medical, financial, tax, insurance, or other professional advice. They are not official government publications and are not a substitute for information from competent government authorities or qualified professionals.
Travel conditions, prices, visa rules, immigration procedures, entry requirements, laws, bank policies, telecommunications services, rental arrangements, and other third-party services may change without notice.
Although I aim to provide useful and accurate information, I do not guarantee that the content is current, complete, error-free, or suitable for your particular circumstances. Historical descriptions reflect my experience at the relevant time and may not describe current conditions.
You should independently verify important information through appropriate official sources and qualified professionals before acting on it, particularly where immigration status, legal compliance, personal safety, healthcare, taxation, financial decisions, or significant expenditures are involved.
4. Travel, Immigration, and Long-Term Stay
Information about obtaining an e-visa, entering or leaving Vietnam, extending a stay, making a visa run, securing accommodation, managing mail, maintaining a U.S. telephone number, establishing domicile, or storing personal belongings is informational only.
I do not guarantee that a visa will be approved, that entry or re-entry will be permitted, that a particular stay arrangement will be lawful or available, or that a suggested service will remain accessible.
Immigration and border decisions are made by the relevant authorities. You are responsible for confirming the rules applicable to your nationality, circumstances, intended activities, and travel dates before relying on the guide.
5. Independent Judgment, Local Laws, and Third-Party Services
You are responsible for your decisions, actions, travel arrangements, and assessment of whether an activity or recommendation described in a guide is appropriate for your circumstances.
Descriptions of my own experiences, including driving, vehicle rental, and financial services, are not recommendations to break or bypass any law. You are responsible for complying with the laws of Vietnam and any other country where you travel.
References to airlines, banks, financial products, telecommunications services, accommodation providers, apps, businesses, routes, and other third parties do not guarantee their availability, suitability, legality, quality, or safety.
Third-party providers operate independently. Their prices, terms, services, availability, and policies remain outside my control. You should review their current terms directly before purchasing or using their services.
6. No Guaranteed Outcomes
The guides are intended to help readers prepare, make informed decisions, and potentially avoid common mistakes or unnecessary expenses.
I do not promise that following a guide will produce specific savings, prevent every mistake, ensure personal safety, result in visa approval, secure accommodation, obtain a financial product, or achieve any other particular outcome.
Results depend on individual circumstances, changing conditions, third-party decisions, and actions outside my control.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the guides and associated content are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without express or implied warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost travel expenses, missed connections, denied boarding, fines, penalties, vehicle impoundment, lost profits, or other financial losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the guides.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, my total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a particular guide shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for that guide.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8. No Sponsorships or Affiliate Links
At the time of publication, my guides do not contain paid sponsorships, paid endorsements, or affiliate links. Product, bank, app, and service references are based on my personal experience or independent evaluation.
If this changes, I will disclose relevant commercial relationships as required by applicable law.
9. Updates and Content Maintenance
Buyers may receive free digital updates for as long as I actively maintain the relevant guide.
I may modify, suspend, or discontinue future updates at my discretion. Unless expressly stated on the relevant product page, purchases do not include a commitment to perpetual maintenance, updates for a specified period, or ongoing support.
Discontinuing updates does not revoke your license to use a version you have already purchased.
10. Refunds and Technical Support
Because of the low price of the guide and payment-processing fees that cannot be recovered on refunds, all sales are final and no refunds are offered. If you’re not sure whether this guide is right for you, or want to confirm something before purchasing, please email hello@groundtruthguides.com first.
If you have a problem downloading a guide, a missing file, or another technical issue, contact hello@groundtruthguides.com, or the customer support address given in your purchase receipt and in the guide, and include your order number. I will fix it or send a replacement.
This policy does not limit any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Gumroad may issue refunds under its own policies.
Gumroad’s own terms and policies continue to govern its platform and any transaction-related processes within their scope.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent applicable mandatory law provides otherwise.
Subject to applicable law, disputes arising from these Terms or a purchase shall be brought before the competent courts located in Florida. Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of a non-waivable right to bring proceedings in another court where such a right applies.
12. Changes to These Terms
I may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published with a revised “Last updated” date.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, changes apply prospectively from the date they take effect and do not retroactively remove rights already acquired by purchasers.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
